This certification is the first project management certification that targets the Project Manager role specifically, as the leader and manager of the project, and validates that you are uniquely prepared to apply both the Art and Science of project management in any business environment.  

Projects succeed when they have a strong, methodical, and intentional leader who understands that project tools and processes alone are just part of the picture.  Without the people who make up the team, and an understanding of the unique qualities each team member brings to the team, projects are destined to fail.  

Nearly all industry reports for the last 30+ years show project success rates around 25% - 35%.  Our certification and training aim for 90%, minimum, project success rates for our Project Managers.

These certifications bring their own value, and, in fact, our Project Manager Masterclass even prepares you to pass those certification exams also.  The BPM™ distinguishes you from the crowd as a Project Manager who can adapt to any business environment to lead a team of people towards a successful project.  It blends both the Science (inputs, processes, outputs, documentation) and the Art (people, personalities, conflict, leadership) of project management.  BusinessPMO has made it a high priority for certification holders to be aware of "what's in the book" while operating as the leader of a project team in real and very diverse business environments.

The PMP, in our opinion, is good for validating you know the typical project management inputs, processes, and outputs of the project management life cycle.  It's highly focused on the science of project management.  The Project Management Institute has done an excellent job of advocating for higher salaries and convincing employers their certification is essential for validation of project management knowledge.

The CSM and other related Agile certifications are good for validating you know the Agile framework and the concepts driving project methodologies under that framework (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).  It's also highly focused on the science of a very specific form of project management.  The Scrum Alliance has done an excellent job of standardizing what it means to be a Certified Scrum Master.  However, you have to be very careful of all the other variations out there that are more, or less, certification mills.  If you are interested in this certification, our recommendation is to stick to the Scrum Alliance.

This class, delivered only by BPMO authorized trainers, provides training with minimal external distractions from the learning experience.  You will be prepared for three major project management certifications, receive training in DISC (including your own assessment), and complete many team-based training exercises in the role of a Project Manager.  You will also immediately have the opportunity to test for the BPM certification and exit the class as a certified Business Project Manager.
